Another perfect news item for Plastic Free July comes from the legends at North Drift Cafe, all the way up top at Ninety Mile Beach. These guys are on the front line to the ocean and are taking stewarship of their coffee waste by beginning a jam jar library for their customers. Freaking love this! Tasman road trip? Take a two hour drive from Nelson, over the Takaka hill, through the township of Takaka and on another 17 kms towards Collingwood you will find yourself in Onekaka, home of the Mussel Inn cafe and pub. Brekkie/brunch menu from 8 - 2:30 daily and good vibes from locals and travellers alike. They'll also discount your brew if you say 'No thanks' to a disposable cup if you can't stay. UYOC!
